BVOContributor Policies

You were given the ok to write as a guest writer for By Valenti Organics, and have created an account, now what?

Before writing your article you need to familiarize yourself with the WordPress interface as this is the system we use in our blog. We recommend you to visit the WordPress website for more information.

Rules & Guidelines

There are some rules we need to set up for our readers to enjoy the most of our blog. We don’t tolerate spam or copies of someone’s article. If you didn’t come up with it we won’t publish it. For every article you write you must attach a 100px x 100px image related to it. Make sure you have the rights to use the image and always give credit to the photographer or artist in your article. You can use Free Stock Photos or if you are handy with the camera take your own pictures! Just make sure the dimensions are the right ones.

We don’t allow the promotion of any other products, so make sure your article touches general aspects or is a review of our own products. If you have published the same article somewhere else, make sure you rephrase it before submitting it to us. Double content on the internet is not a good promotion for us or for you.

You need to be familiar with WordPress as this is the tool we use to manage this blog.

Every article you write will be reviewed by one of our editors. If the article is up to our standards the article will go live on the blog, if the article needs modifications we will let you know.

We only take in experienced writers in the organic, skin care, health, living and environmental categories who maintain a blog or are published in websites on these categories. We need to verify that you’re qualified to write for us, so when filling the application below make sure you provide the blogs, websites or newspapers you have published your articles on. If we can’t verify you, we can’t have you on board.

Our Thanks

We value your input and your contributions, and although we don’t pay for any of the articles written in our blog we will be more than happy to link back to your website and add you as a contributor in our Contributors Page as well as create your own personal profile page. Just remember you can only add a link back to your own website in your profile area.

Copyright

All the rights to your articles are 100% yours, proven that you’re the original creator and that you hold the rights to the articles. We only provide the platform where to publish your articles.

As a BVOContributor, you have limitations in our website. You can create a post, upload a Feature Image and edit your biography. Any post you write will be submitted for review and won’t go live on the blog until an editor approves it.

Some of the things you can and cannot do are found below:

MUST:

 • A 100 pixels x 100 pixels image is required for every post. This thumbnail image needs to be uploaded as Featured Image.
 • You MUST have the rights for the images you upload in our server. If you don’t have the rights to the images you upload you’re punishable by Federal Law for copyright infringement.
 • When using bullets or numbers, always use the following tags

YOUR TEXT HERE

YOUR TEXT HERE

 • Any link to your website or blog, must only be included in your profile. We do not accept links or biographical mentions on the post itself.

DON’T:

 • Don’t write your bio on the post itself, that’s what the profile page is for. A link to your bio or profile page is provided on every article you write.
 • Never upload a post for review without a 100 pixels x 100 pixels image as Featured Image. Your post won’t go live until a Featured Image is in place.
 • Images for the blog can’t be larger than 300 pixels wide. Any image larger than that will be deleted from the server causing your post to not be approved. You’ll need to upload the images for your post on your own server or a public service like photobucket.com or similar.
 • We do not accept hotlinking of anything including images. If found hotlinking your posts will be removed and your account terminated. The idea is to provide your knowledge to our readers, not to use our blog to spam them.
 • Don’t use images or posts taken from other websites, as these are considered Copyright and Federal Law violations. Either take your own pictures or pay for the rights to use the images. Royalty free stock photos can be bought at fotolia.com or similar.
 • Do not link words for ad purposes. This will be cause for post removal as it’s also considered spam.
If you should have questions while writing your articles, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we’re here to help.
