+ Do you use any artificial preservatives or harmful chemicals in the making of your products?

No, all our products are made using organically grown, natural ingredients and in some, lab made ingredients from natural ingredients which are considered safe and have been widely tested. We don't use any FD&C colorants (which are derived from petroleum), we don't use any petroleum derived chemicals, we don't use harmful synthetic ingredients, we don't use artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates or synthetic petroelum derived preservatives ever.

+ Do you use any animal fat to make your products?

No, we don't use any animal fat, lard or tallow in our formulations, only vegetable oils are used in the making of our soaps, bath and body products, we love animals! Researches have shown soaps and skin care products made with tallow or any animal fat can be harsh on sensitive skins. They are also known to clog your pores making your skin more prone to acne infections and are responsible for premature aging.

+ Do you test on animals?

No, we don't. We're an animal friendly company for real. We don't test on animals and don't buy ingredients that are tested on animals, period. We're Certified Cruelty Free by the Leaping Bunny Program and we have signed the HSUS Humane Cosmetics Act H.R. 4148 for the #BeCrueltyFree Campaign.

+ Do you sell your products in China?

No, we don't. When we say we are animal friendly and that we don't test on animals we mean it! China requires mandatory animal testing to all cosmetic companies wanting to sell their products in their market. So far we have denied 5 times the selling of our products in China because we don't agree with animal testing and we won't allow any company, government agency or country to do animal testing on our behalf.

+ Are By Valenti products Vegan and Cruelty-Free?

By Valenti Organics is certified cruelty-free by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics' (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program. All our products are cruelty free and the majority are vegan. We only use botanicals and vegetable oils from sustainable producers, although we do use organically sourced beeswax and raw honey in some of our products.

+ You say you're animal friendly, why don't you support PETA?

This is a question we get a lot, so despite the controversial answer we decided to put it up here. The reason we don't endorse nor support PETA is because PETA's "humane" philosophy of killing household pets is against our Founder's, animal activist, efforts. PETA although can do good in terms of protecting or enforcing the protection of wildlife does a really lame and cruel job when it comes to household pets. With a known killing rate of over 95% of all the household pets (cats, dogs and other small creatures) they receive, the highest killing rate of all the animal shelters in the US, PETA is best known as the concentration camp for household pets. Our Founder has raised money for non-killing animal shelters and sanctuaries, has promoted and helped in raise money for charities where furry neglected friends were saved, cared for, and found good loving homes, she's saved hundreds of animals from shelters, gave them all a wonderful life and won't endorse a self called animal activist organization who considers "humane" putting down over 95% of the household pets rendered or that they receive every year. Loving pet owners whom for circumstances of life could no longer care for their pets, believed and trusted PETA would relocate their beloved furry friends into other loving and welcoming homes, just to find out they were killed just hours after being rendered. Also PETA does not remove from their list of "certified cruelty free" companies that sell in China even though they know China requires mandatory animal testing to all cosmetic companies wanting to sell in their country. By Valenti Organics won't endorse nor approve this philosophy, nor we will ever display any of PETA's logos to prove we are an animal friendly, cruelty free company. By Valenti Organics is Certified Cruelty Free by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics' (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program, an organization that takes very seriously their job of protecting our furry friends.

+ Do you use Lye (Sodium Hydroxide) to make your soaps?

Yes, it's the only way to make true soap. That's how it's being done for centuries and how the best and true soaps are still made today. The lye (Sodium Hydroxide) reacts with the oils or fats creating a chemical reaction called Saponification. The lye becomes inactive and what remains is pure soap. During the Saponification process a secondary natural compound is created, Glycerin, which amounts for about 25% of the soap. All the vegetable glycerin produced during the Saponification process is retained in the soap, we don't remove it at all, that's why our soaps are also moisturizing. + Aren't all handmade soaps the same?

No, they are not. Every oil and every ingredient have different properties that are released when the soap is produced and that determines what kind of soap the soap maker will end up with. Knowing what oils work best together in what proportions is the key for a really good handmade soap, combine that process with only high quality organically grown vegetable ingredients and the best soap is born. There are thousands of homemade soaps out there with very poor quality ingredients that result in a very poor quality bar of soap that won't live up to your expectations. Our soaps not only have grade A quality ingredients but our formulas maximize the benefits of each one of our ingredients resulting in a wonderful bar of soap that will not only nourish your skin but will clean as well as energize your spirit.

+ I've heard you say before you're the only manufacturers of True Castile Soap in the US. I buy other brands of Castile soap made in the US so why do you say this?

True Castile Soap, a soap that's hundreds of years old, originally produced in the region of Castilla in Spain, is made with only 3 ingredients: Extra Virgin Olive Oil (not the one you would buy at the grocery store), Sodium or Potassium Hydroxide (one or the other depending if the soap is solid or liquid) and Water. What sets this soap apart from the rest is not only the simple ingredients and high quality (but expensive) olive oil, but the method to manufacture this soap, which renders the mildest soap suitable for everyone, including newborns, that's biodegradable and good for the environment. For those of us who were lucky enough to have family members that knew the secret process to manufacture this soap, that has being passed down generation after generation, we guard it very carefully. Because the high price of the extra virgin olive oil used to manufacture this soap, and because of the difficulty in manufacturing it, many soap makers have "cheapened out" their products, and have added oils like coconut, palm and many inexpensive oils, in some cases eliminating the olive oil all together, to simplify the manufacturing process, render an inexpensive soap that can also clean your entire home, while deceiving consumers. Although most of the fake castile soaps sold by renowned manufacturers in the US and abroad, aren't bad, they just aren't and cannot be considered True Castile Soaps, but just vegetable soaps. When we claim we're the only manufacturers of the True and Original Castile Soap in the US, is because we follow the original secret process to produce this soap, and because we don't use any of the easily saponifiable cheap oils other soap makers use, but only the best, high quality extra virgin olive oil imported from Spain.

+ Do you use peanut oil or butter in the making of your products?

No, we don't use any peanut butter or oil in the making of any of our products, but that doesn't mean the manufacturers of the oils we use don't process peanuts in the same containers they process their other oils. + Do you use FD&C Colorants in your products?

As much as we love bright and inviting colors we don't use FD&C Colorants, Dyes or any other artificial colorants. FD&C Colorants are all artificial colorants derived from petroleum and tar. Many of them have an indefinite array of side effects from hyperactivity and inattentiveness in children, asthma, rashes and ever cancer, not mentioning by using FD&C Colorants we are polluting the environment even further. At By Valenti Organics we believe in making products that are safe for your skin and that are innocuous for the environment, that won't pollute bodies of water. All our products are colored by the ingredients they contain.

+ Are By Valenti products safe for children?

Yes. All our products are formulated with natural never artificial ingredients, but we recommend doing a test in a small area before using any of our products in case of food or botanical allergies are suspected. Although any of our products can be used on children we recommend the use of our Babies & Kids products as they are specifically formulated for infants & children.

+ Are By Valenti products hypoallergenic?

Although all the ingredients we use are natural and generally safe for all skin types, certain allergic reactions may occur if the individual is sensitive to certain botanicals. If you have extremely sensitive skin do a test in a small area of your body before fully using any of our products. All our products offer a complete list of ingredients. If there is anything you are sensitive to and would like to avoid it verify such botanical is not listed in the ingredients list of that particular product.

+ Are your products USDA Certified Organic?

We became USDA Certified Organic by the Global Organic Alliance, Inc. on March 2014. On September 2015, we decided not to renew our organic certification due to the fact current USDA standards do not work for cosmetic manufacturers in providing safety assurance to consumers. + I won't buy if I can't smell it. Why do you package your products?

Products like soaps and solid shampoos that are sold unwrapped only prove they contain tons of preservatives, petrochemicals and artificial ingredients. A truly natural product needs to be protected from the environment as much as possible. Just the air we breath oxidizes the natural ingredients of any product, tremendously reducing its shelf life, not mentioning you wouldn't want to use a product in your intimate areas that everyone has touched or sneezed on. Bacteria is transferred and spread by touch and many of the most severe cases of acne are produced by transferred bacteria. By wrapping and bottling our products we are not only protecting you from bacterial contamination, we are also ensuring our products arrive fresh to you door.

+ How can I be certain your products are truly safe?

By just visiting the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Cosmetics Safety Database the most comprehensive and complete safety cosmetics database in the USA. All our products and ingredients are rated based on safety. When we claim our products ARE SAFE is because they ARE.

+ What is the Freschezza symbol on your products packaging?

Freschezza in Italian means Freshness, which is our unique way to present the expiration date on all our products. Inside this Freschezza symbol you'll find the date until the product can be used, when is most effective. Since we don't use any artificial preservatives, the natural ingredients contained in the products have a peak of freshness where they are most effective and perform better. Using the product within the Freschezza period means you're taking advantage of all the power of the fresh ingredients it contains. This doesn't mean using the product 1-2 months after the Freschezza period is bad, is just that the natural ingredients contained in the product are not as fresh anymore and might not be as effective. With this method you'll always find our fresh products in the shelves of your favorite stores.

+ Why don't you use the Open Jar Expiration Date method (PAO symbol)?

The PAO (Period-After-Opening) symbol, also known as the open jar expiration date, identifies the number of months a product can be used AFTER it has been opened. This labeling requirement was passed into law by the E.U. (European Union) in 2003. This also means the products with this marking not bearing any expiration date are heavily charged with artificial preservatives as products may remain on store shelves for very long periods of time. Some of our products already contain the PAO symbol, allowing the product to be used 3-6-9-12 months after opening. The PAO symbol on these products is usually found next to our Freschezza symbol with its respective expiration date.

+ How do I contact your billing department?

+ I need to change my email/login ID and password. Can you call me back?

We're sorry, but for security reasons we can't call you back, email you back or chat with you to provide or change any login ID or password information. If you've lost or forgot your password, in the login page, click the forgot your password link. Enter the email address you used when you signed up for your account. You will receive an email with a new password. To change your email address instead, login to your Account with your old email address and password. On your Account area click on View or change my account information. In the email area replace your old email with the new one. Click the Update button. Now use your new email address to login to your Account.

+ How do I return a product?

To return a product please check our Shipping & Returns page for instructions.

+ I haven't received my order

Transit time varies from location to location. If you still haven't received your order you have many ways to find out where your package is before contacting us:
1.- Click the tracking number you received in your shipping confirmation email.
2.- Login to your Account, click on the View button next to the order you want to verify and click on the tracking number.
3.- Track your package online at www.usps.com or www.fedex.com, you'll need the tracking number found on your shipping confirmation email or order information. If your package is still in transit, please allow a few more days to be delivered to your door. If your package shows as delivered, take note of the address where it shows it was delivered to, and make sure the package is not with a neighbor, in your mailbox or outside your door before contacting us.

+ My order shows no tracking data on the USPS online

We would like to say this is unusual, but unfortunately it's becoming more common. If your package shows no tracking data on the USPS website, it's probably missing, lost, or has being delivered to the wrong address. More often than not, packages don't get scanned properly. If this is the case and you haven't received your order please Contact Us.

+ My order was damaged during shipping, how do I file a complaint with the United States Postal Office?

It is normal for outside boxes and envelopes to show sign of wear, however if the content was damaged, please notify us immediately and report this issue to your carrier. Your package was insured and they are responsible for any claim. If the outside box looks severely damaged, if possible refuse the shipment and request the driver to note all the details. Damage or loss incurred during shipment is the delivery company's responsibility. Claims must be properly filed with the delivering carrier. It's ideal if pictures of the box and content are taken. Only shipments that are insured can claim the total of the loss to be reimbursed by the delivery company. Although the addressee must initiate damage claims against the shipper, we will be happy to assist you or file all the paperwork for you. Note: Shipping charges are non-refundable costs related to your order. Under no circumstances shipping charges will be refunded either by the United States Postal Services or By Valenti Organics. Only the total of your order will be reimbursed by the United States Postal Services after claimed is filed.

+ I bought a voucher from Blissmo, Neerg, Froogll, DealTicker where should I enter the code?

The voucher code you received should be entered in the Discount Coupon - Promo Code area during step 2 (Payment) of checkout.

+ My order was canceled, what happened?

Groupon.com, LivingSocial.com, Blissmo.com, Neerg.com, Froogll.com, and DealTicker.com vouchers have a limit amount towards your order. If you've exceeded the amount of your voucher a second method of payment is required during checkout. If we can't charge your credit card for the remaining balance your order is canceled but your voucher is still valid so you can place the order a second time. Credit card companies can deny a payment for many reasons, including wrong CVV, credit card number, billing address, etc.

+ What is a Voucher?

A Voucher is a discount coupon also known as promo code.

+ How do I verify the expiration date on my Voucher?

You should have received an email with your Voucher number. In the email are contained our policies along with the expiration date of the Voucher. You can also check the expiration date of your voucher by entering the voucher code on the Discount Coupon-Promo Code validation page.

+ My Voucher expired, how can I redeem it?

We're sorry to hear your Voucher is already expired. Expired vouchers can ONLY be redeemed for the amount pre-paid an not for the face value of the Voucher as established in our Terms & Conditions. I if you've purchased or received a $30 for $15 Voucher this means the $15 is the prepaid amount of the Voucher and you can only use that amount to order from our website instead of the $30 face value. Please contact us as your Voucher needs to be manually activated before the pre-paid amount can be used.

+ Why can't I redeem the voucher I bought/received for cash?

Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash as established in our Terms and Conditions. If you bought or received a Voucher (also called Discount Coupon or Promo Code) from any of our partners (Groupon, LivingSocial, Blissmo, Neerg, Froogll, Dealticker) this means a pre-sale was made for a discount over a certain amount of merchandise. You bought a certain amount of our merchandise at a discounted value receiving a voucher number to redeem the pre-sale for a certain amount in products on our website, which is the same as receiving the same Voucher number for free and having to pay for half of its value on our website when placing your order. What our Daily Deal Partners do, is process the pre-sale for us. In no way a Voucher can be treated as a Gift Card or e-Gift Certificate or be bound by the Credit Card Act, as these Vouchers are limited time offers also known as Promo Codes.

We know we make great, natural and safe products but someone new to our brand and website might not be aware our products are safe for the entire family and mother earth, that's why we ask all our clients to stop by our website, rate and write a review for future customers.

+ How do I write a review on the product I bought?

Login to your Account. Locate the order with the product(s) you want to rate. Click on the Write a Review button next to the product you want to rate. You will be taken to the review page for that product. Select a star rating (1 for the lowest or 5 for the highest) and write your honest review on this product. Once done click the Submit button. There is a period of up to 48 hours for your review to be approved and go live on our website. We don't edit your review, we just want to make sure a real person it and that is not spam trying to get published on our website.

+ How can I leave my Testimonial if I don't have an account?

You will need to create an account to write a review on the product(s) you've used or to write a testimonial. + I have a blog/website and I would like to review By Valenti Organics products, how can I get free samples?

Thank you for your interest in By Valenti Organics products! We don't provide free samples to review blogs or websites, but we do offer travel sizes and samples you can purchase for a lower price than the full size products.

+ Why won't you provide free samples so I could write a review on my blog/website?

As much as we love all the love and great feedback on the web, the practice of giving free samples in exchange for a blog review is a violation of FTC (Federal Trade Commission) regulations. A more simple way to understand these rulings can be found here. We don't believe in giving free products in exchange for reviews. We prefer, honest reviews from people who have bought our products, used them for at least a month, and then provided their honest findings on their blogs or websites, without any mutual agreement or exchange. We believe consumers value more honest reviews from websites and blogs that really take the time and effort. For this, we're sorry but we don't provide free samples. If you wish to try our products but don't want to spend much, samples and travel sizes are available for some of our products. + We sell subscription sample boxes. Can we get 500 free samples?

Thank you for interest in By Valenti Organics. We don't provide free samples for subscription sample box businesses. Orders & Pre-Orders ::

+ How do I place an order on By Valenti Organics?

Navigate to the product you wish to purchase and click the button. Once done with your shopping, click the green shopping bag on the menu bar. Follow the instructions to checkout.

+ What's a Pre-Order?

Pre-order refers to products that are not in stock at the moment but are being manufactured and will be available shortly.

+ How can I Pre-Order a product that is out of stock?

Products that are out-of-stock but are available for pre-order show an add to cart button and the following message in the product's page:

This product will be back in stock on Friday 20 April, 2012. If Add to Bag button is active you can pre-order this product. NOTE: Any order containing back-order products will be placed on hold until back-order products become available.

To pre-order an out of stock product, just add the quantity of the product you wish to pre-order to your shopping bag and proceed to checkout. Out-of-stock products won't ship until the product becomes available on the date displayed on the product's page. Your credit card won't be charged until out-of-stock products are available and your order is ready to ship.

+ Can I place an order by phone?

We don't accept orders by phone at this time.

+ What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discovery, PayPal and SquareUp.

+ Do you ship to my country?

Chances are we do! We ship worldwide via USPS. To verify if we ship to your country, add a product to your shopping bag and head to checkout. Click on the Estimate Shipping button and fill in the information for your country. The Estimate Shipping page will notify you if we do indeed ship to your country or not.

+ How much is shipping to my country?

To calculate shipping costs to your destination, simply add the products you would like to purchase to your shopping bag and click on the Shopping Bag button on the menu bar to access your shopping bag content. Click on the Estimate Shipping button and enter the address where you want your package to arrive. Click the Update button and a number of shipping options will be provided which are calculated depending on weight and destination of the package.

+ How much is shipping for my item?

Shipping and handling is calculated automatically by the United States Postal Office (USPS) and FedEx on our website. During the checkout process you will be prompted to the shipping options based on the shipping address you provided. Select the shipping option you prefer. You can also calculate shipping based on the content of your Shopping Bag. For this, click the Estimate Shipping button located in the Shopping Bag.

+ Will you insure my package?

Insurance is mandatory and included in your shipping costs since February 24, 2011.

+ Do I have to pay customs?

Unfortunately some countries are not exempt of taxes, and when your package arrives destination it will have to clear customs to be delivered to you. Any custom duties, taxes and any other charge that the country of destination might apply are the responsibility of the customer. The shipping and handling charges do not include any custom duties that your country might impose. We do not mark packages as gifts or samples as this is an illegal practice in the US.

+ How do I know when my order has shipped?

You will receive an email confirming the shipment of your order with a tracking number to track your package online. You can also login to your Account and look at the status of your purchase and track your package online.

+ How do I return a product?

+ When will my order ship?

Orders ship 3 business days after order is received, payment is processed and if stock is available. If for whatever reason we are out of stock on any of the products you have ordered we will contact you to let you know when your order will be shipped.

+ How do I track my package?

From your account: To track your package login into your account. Click the View button next to your latest order. Click the Tracking Code (this will open a new window at the USPS.com or FedEx.com websites).
Via Email: Click the tracking number you received in your shipping confirmation email.

+ Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

No, we do not ship to PO Boxes. We require a valid physical address where to ship your order, whether your residence, or your place of work, where you can legitimately receive packages and envelopes. Orders shipped to PO Boxes or mailed to the physical address of your local postal office where your PO Box is held will be cancelled, no exceptions.

+ Can I use my local postal office physical address as my shipping address?

No, you cannot. Circumventing our policies using the physical address of your local postal office along with the number of your PO Box to cheat the system is not permitted causing your order to get cancelled. No exceptions. We do not deliver to PO Boxes.
 

My Account Area ::

+ Do I need to register for an account to purchase from By Valenti?

Yes, to shop from By Valenti Organics you need to create a free account which keeps your basic information only on file (such as address, phone number, name, etc). With your account you can keep all your friend's addresses on file to quickly ship your gifts, enjoy the benefits of your membership when you decide to become a Luxurious VIP Member, create a Love List or use/send an e-Gift Certificate.

+ How do I create an account?

You can create an account after you drop items in your cart during the checkout process, or click the Register link at the top of any page. When you register for an account you can purchase and even send gift certificates to anyone via email. You can check for the status of your order and even track your package online, you can also keep a Love List for friends and family. By registering an account with us, if you decide to become a Luxurious VIP Member, you can save 10% on any purchase + earn Reward Points for an entire year. This option is for customers with registered account only.

+ How do I login to my account?

Click the Account link at the top of any page. Enter your ID and password. Your ID is the email address you used when you registered the account.

+ I received an email saying my account was banned

There are many reasons for which an account can get banned. Some of the most commons are:
1) An account was created without the authorization of the owner: You created an account for someone else (friend, spouse, etc) and the owner requested the account to be closed. In this case only the legitimate owner of the account can request the account to be re-opened.
2) False or unverifiable information was used during the creation of the account: In some cases our systems generate an alert. If we can't verify the information entered to be accurate, the account will become temporarily banned. If you suspect this is your case please contact us.
3) Suspicious credit card activity: If the credit card used to place an order was denied twice the account will be permanently banned to prevent illegal charges to the credit card. A bank can deny a credit card payment for insufficient funds (your credit card may be maxed out) or the credit card was reported as stolen. If you believe there was an error with your credit card, please contact us.

+ How can I change my login ID/email address?

Log In to your account with your old email address and password. On your Account area click on View or change my account information. In the email area replace your old email with the new one. Click the Update button. Now use your new email address to login to your account.

+ I forgot my password, how do I recover it?

From the Log In page, click the Forgot your Password? link. Enter the email address you used when you signed up for your account. You will receive an email with a new password.

+ How can I change my password?

Log In to your account. Click on Change my Account Password.

+ How do I redeem an e-Gift Certificate?

You'll need to register for an account to be able to use and redeem e-Gift Certificates. E-Gift Certificates are electronic gift certificates. If you receive a e-Gift Certificate by email it will contain details of who sent you the e-Gift Certificate, along with possibly a short message from them. The email will also contain the e-Gift Certificate Redemption Code. It is probably a good idea to print out this email for future reference. You can redeem the e-Gift Certificate in three ways.

1. By clicking on the link contained within the email for this express purpose. This will take you to the Redeem e-Gift Certificate page. You will be requested to create an account or login to your account, before the e-Gift Certificate is validated and the funds placed in your e-Gift Certificate Account.

2. Redeem your e-Gift Certificate by visiting this page www.byvalenti.com/index.php?main_page=gv_faq&faq_item=4 and follow the instructions.

3. During checkout, enter the code provided in the email in the area on the e-Gift Certificate box.

+ How do I check the balance on my e-Gift Certificate Account?

Log In to your Account. Your balance will display in your e-Gift Certificate Account box.

+ How do I use the funds in my e-Gift Certificate Account?

Add items to your cart and click checkout. You'll be asked to login to your account. On step 2 of checkout look for the e-Gift Certificate box. Your e-Gift Certificate balance is displayed right below the Apply Amount box. To use your funds simply add any amount in the Apply Amount box and proceed with checkout.

+ How do I send an e-Gift Certificate to a friend using the balance on my e-Gift Certificate Account?

Log In to your Account. In your Account page you'll see an e-Gift Certificate Account box reflecting your balance. If the balance is enough and you wish to send and e-Gift Certificate to a friend or family member, simply click the "Send a Gift Certificate" button and follow the instructions. If the balance is not enough and you wish to purchase more balance for your account, simply go to the e-Gift Certificates page to order more.
