If it is not made with 100% olive oil, it is not Castile soap.

I fell in love

I fell in love with this soap the first time I used it! It gives such a rich lather and leaves the skin feeling super soft and clean. Most of all, I love knowing that there are no harsh ingredients that are going on my skin!

Made with only extra virgin olive oil, this is true Castile soap in its original form—nothing added, nothing masked. Olive-derived oleic acid cleanses effectively while preserving the skin’s lipid layer, allowing moisture to remain where it belongs instead of being washed away. The result is clean skin that stays soft, flexible, and hydrated, without post-wash tightness or itch.

Free from fragrance and essential oils, this bar is intentionally minimal and exceptionally mild. It removes sweat, dirt, and excess oil without disrupting the skin’s natural balance, making it suitable for daily cleansing on even the most reactive skin, including sensitive, dermatitis-prone, or baby skin. Clean skin, intact barrier, no sensory overload.

A soap for the entire family, including 4 legged ones. Because of its mildness it's recommended for people with dermatitis, extremely sensitive, dry, irritated, or acne prone skin.

Suitable for all four skin types, oily, normal, dry and combination.

Buttercream to white bar soap with the faint aroma of fresh olive oil. Lathers into a white, soft and very creamy highly moisturizing mild suds, leaving skin clean without the dry itchy sensation fake and badly formulated Castile soaps leave behind.

Lather, rub and rinse.

Wet soap bar. With a sponge, washcloth, soap bag or using your hands, work soap into a lather. Rub directly on skin for a few seconds to wash up skin and remove soil, dirt, or sweat. Rinse with clean water and repeat if necessary.

Let soap air dry in between uses.

Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain, the cornerstone of our True Authentic Castile Bar Soap, imbues this traditional formulation with our family process for remarkable skin-nurturing properties. Its rich oleic acid content ensures the soap produces a mild and creamy lather, offering a gentle cleansing experience without stripping the skin of its natural oils. This premium olive oil's natural antioxidants, including vitamins E and K, provide a protective barrier that supports skin health, enhances hydration, and promotes elasticity. This product does not contain essential oils making it suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Not recommended for children younger that ten years of age.

Avoid contact with eyes. If in eyes, rinse with fresh water.

Yes. Castile soap is a very mild soap that won't dry or harm your baby's skin. Since it's made with Organically Grown Extra Virgin Olive Oil, it's free of harmful chemicals.

Absolutely. Castile soap was used as an all purpose soap ever since its inception 1400 years ago. It's commonly used as a body soap, but works very well as a hand soap, shampoo and it's wonderful as a facial soap.

As all natural well formulated soaps, our soaps have a pH level between 8.5 and 9.

No. Olive oil is generally non-comedogenic.

Chances are you were in the presence of fake castile soaps made with high amounts of coconut oil, palm or other harsh oils, added to make it lather more. Our Authentic Castile soap is formulated with only Extra Virgin Olive Oil and does not contain palm oil or coconut oil.

Like with any other soap or shampoo, immediately flush with plenty of fresh water. Soaps and shampoos, even this one, are mildly irritant to the eyes. It would burn and sting, if just a little drop falls inside the eye, and probably would get red, but it's just temporary and should go away in no time.

No. We leave that task to the fake Castile soaps high in coconut and palm oils.

Our Castile soap is true and authentic, as it doesn't contain other oils in the formula. True Castile soaps are made using only extra virgin olive oil. None of Dr Bronner's Pure Castile Soaps are actually authentic castile soaps, but regular vegetable soaps containing coconut, palm and other oils in the formula. Soaps cannot be Organic. Because of the ingredients needed to manufacture soaps, they cannot be classified as "Organic" or "100% Organic" by the USDA. The highest USDA certification available for all soaps is "Made with Organic Ingredients". All the certified organic ingredients used in our products, are transparently disclosed in the ingredients list for each product. Additionally a % amount of organic ingredients is disclosed as per the current calculation methods established by the USDA NOP.

No. By Valenti® Castile Soaps are made using the traditional Mediterranean process with 100% extra virgin olive oil, as originally intended. Dr. Bronner’s “Castile” soaps, despite the label, are not actually Castile soaps as they include coconut, palm, and other oils — making them high-lather more damaging and drying to sensitive skin. Authentic Castile soap should be extra virgin olive oil–based exclusively.
