Made exclusively with extra virgin olive oil, this authentic Castile soap cleanses without disrupting the skin barrier or stripping natural lipids. Its low-foaming composition produces a mild wash particularly suited to sensitive, dry, reactive, or atopic skin, including babies and skin unable to tolerate conventional soaps. Skin remains clean, soft, and balanced after washing instead of tight or irritated.

A soap for the entire family, including newborns and 4 legged ones. Because of its mildness it's recommended for sensitive, dry, reactive, or dehydration-prone skin, including eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and skin that behaves poorly to conventional cleansing products.

Buttercream to white bar soap with the faint aroma of fresh olive oil. Lathers into a white, soft and very creamy highly moisturizing mild suds, leaving skin clean without the dry itchy sensation fake and badly formulated Castile soaps leave behind.

Lather, rub and rinse.

Wet soap bar. With a sponge, washcloth, soap bag or using your hands, work soap into a lather. Rub directly on skin for a few seconds to wash up skin and remove soil, dirt, or sweat. Rinse with clean water and repeat if necessary.

Let soap air dry in between uses.

This product does not contain essential oils making it suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Not recommended for children younger that ten years of age.

Avoid contact with eyes. If in eyes, rinse with fresh water.

As with any product, if irritation occurs, discontinue using and consult your doctor. Keep away from children and pets.

Yes. Castile soap is a very mild soap that won't dry or harm your baby's skin. Since it's made with Organically Grown Extra Virgin Olive Oil, it's free of harmful chemicals.

Absolutely. Castile soap was used as an all purpose soap ever since its inception 1400 years ago. It's commonly used as a body soap, but works very well as a hand soap, shampoo and it's wonderful as a facial soap.

No. Olive oil is generally non-comedogenic.

Chances are you were in the presence of fake castile soaps made with high amounts of coconut oil, palm or other harsh oils, added to make it lather more. Our Authentic Castile soap is formulated with only Extra Virgin Olive Oil and does not contain palm oil or coconut oil.

Like with any other soap or shampoo, immediately flush with plenty of fresh water. Soaps and shampoos, even this one, are mildly irritant to the eyes. It would burn and sting, if just a little drop falls inside the eye, and probably would get red, but it's just temporary and should go away in no time.

Our Castile soap is true and authentic, as it doesn't contain other oils in the formula. True Castile soaps are made using only extra virgin olive oil. None of Dr Bronner's Pure Castile Soaps are actually authentic castile soaps, but regular vegetable soaps containing coconut, palm and other oils in the formula. Soaps cannot be Organic. Because of the ingredients needed to manufacture soaps, they cannot be classified as "Organic" or "100% Organic" by the USDA. The highest USDA certification available for all soaps is "Made with Organic Ingredients". All the certified organic ingredients used in our products, are transparently disclosed in the ingredients list for each product. Additionally a % amount of organic ingredients is disclosed as per the current calculation methods established by the USDA NOP.

No. By Valenti® Castile Soaps are made using the traditional Mediterranean process with 100% extra virgin olive oil, as originally intended. Dr. Bronner’s “Castile” soaps, despite the label, are not actually Castile soaps as they include coconut, palm, and other oils — making them high-lather more damaging and drying to sensitive skin. Authentic Castile soap should be extra virgin olive oil–based exclusively.

Soaps formulated primarily with coconut oil, palm oil, sunfloweroil, tallow, or synthetic surfactants do not meet the chemical or historical definition of Castile soap, regardless of marketing language.

Love the soap but hate the swirlies

True castile is hard to find and Valenti's is one of the nicest -- but I wish Ms V hadn't gone all trendy and made the soap up with the pouring swirls (I guess) on one side. The deep grooves are always grubby at the bottom.

Special needs boy

I'm the mother of a special needs boy, wheelchair bound, age 13. He was diagnosed with pustular psoriasis. He couldn't sleep. Just hugging him hurt, bathing him made us both cry, diaper change was a total nightmare. We went through all sort of medications, powders, lotions, soaps, you name it we tried it. I felt hopeless. I just wanted to make my son comfortable and happy again. One of his therapiests at the hospital suggested to try this castile soap. She sounded so convinced and sure this soap was going to work, that out of desperation we ended up following her advice. Thank God we did. We bought a bar of this castile soap off of amazon, and gave Eric a bath as soon as the soap arrived in the mail. We stopped all the other treatments he was on as it was obvious they weren't working. By day 5 of bathing him just once a day the blotches of red skin were about half the size. For the first time in months we cried tears of happiness. By day 15, all the scaling was almost gone from his arms, back and legs. By day 30 it was almost gone. My baby's beautiful skin was getting back to normal. It's been a year now and no signs of the redness, rashes, pus or scales. My entire family ended up switching to valenti castile soap and we haven't looked back. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my son's skin.

I fell in love

I fell in love with this soap the first time I used it! It gives such a rich lather and leaves the skin feeling super soft and clean. Most of all, I love knowing that there are no harsh ingredients that are going on my skin!

I have loved the products I have tried

I have loved the products I have tried so far. I have had a horrible time finding a soap that my 7mo old son does not break out in a rash from. I think I may have tried every organic option on the market (and spent a fortune!), your olive oil soap is the first that I have used that has not caused him any irritation! I can not tell you how happy I am to have found it. We have been using it only a week but so far it has been amazing.

Finally a true pure Jabon de Castilla como debe ser! From Spain I write you to congratulate you on this magnificent soap you seem to be the only company making the ancient way these days! Surprisingly I can't find pure Jabon de Castilla here in Madrid anymore. It seems everyone is manufacturing Castile soap with coconut oil these days to make it cheaper and that's not the way this soap is made! Would love to distribute your products to the European market. Gracias.

THE BEST!!!

My God this soap is THE BEST!!! Creamy and gentle on my skin. I use it on my face as well as a cleanser and to remove make-up. It leaves my skin clean without drying it. Just an amazing soap! this is the real deal! I've tried other castile soaps but none of them are pure and they dry my skin, they all contain coconut oil and whatnot but like you say those are not real castile soaps. Castile soap is made with only olive oil and nothing more, I've done my research. Imitations shouldn't be allowed to be called castile soap. It's just like champagne, if it's not made in the champagne region of france it can't be called champagne. If it's not made with 100% olive oil of the best quality it shouldn't be called castile soap. Knowing that this soap is made with organic olive oil is a plus! Well done!

Not slimy

This soap not slimy at all, so you guys can take that out of the description and replace it with super creamy because that's what this soap is, super creamy. It lathers a lot and leaves the skin very clean and soft. I have to say though I got tired of the soap in my shower, this thing lasts forever. I've been using it for over 3 weeks and I still have enough soap for one more week. I've never seen a soap that lasted that long so 2 big thumbs up on this one. The only thing that I didn't like is that it has no fragrance whatsoever, nonetheless I'll keep buying it because this is truly a high quality product.
